Movie Review: The Change Up

Movie:  The Change Up
Overall score: 1-10:  1
Was the movie long?: about a 1/2 way through I left, but it was long enough to piss me off
Was the theatre packed?: no, about 20 people
Can a woman sit through it?: I couldn't sit through it...refused to
Can a man sit through it?: Yea, probably one of those Lifetime Bachelor kind of guys....you know the one's who think the "F" word is the ONLY word in the dictionary...IF they ever read a dictionary....or a book
Can my kids sit through it?: No, and in fact...they cuss repeatedly around little kids in this movie and make fun of kids with Down Syndrome as well (but hey, all for a good laugh right???)
Good for a Date night?: Not if you want a second date...
Good for a Girl's night?: NO, aside from it being wildly inappropriate...it's just not funny...
Good for a family night?: Not...totally not
romance 1-10: ZERO, in fact a quote that would best describe how romantic this movie is: When the guys talk about "The Cancer List"...A list "all men have" of top 3 women they would bang if his wife died of cancer tomorrow.
action 1-10: 1, if you count when Mitch sticks his thumb up an old lady's butt
funny 1-10: 1 ..I'm usually okay with stupid humor, can handle boobs, sex and cussing...but the "F" word does not make a line funny...nor does it make a movie funny.
scary 1-10: 10, it's scary someone spent money to make this movie, sad I wanted to go see this movie, and REALLY scary some people are dumb enough to actually like this movie.
suspense 1-10: 0
appropriate ?: Nope...I walked out...and my husband didn't argue doing the same. (and it wasn't a "my wife will get mad if I don't leave" kinda move...he wasn't just offended..he was bored...
Best Part of the Movie: walking out of it...
Worst Part of the Movie: When it started and I decided to stay....just to give it a chance
Notable Quote: "I gotta cool it on the Thai food"
Should I wait to rent?: No...wouldn't  spend a $1.00 for it with Red Box
Overall: So my my husband and I went to go see the change up...in what was a much anticipated outing since I've been home sick for what seems like forever. I've went ahead and reviewed it...well, what I saw of it...I walked out 1/2 way through it and asked for a refund. I NEVER do this. (It's MY fault if I go see a crappy movie, not the theatre's...) but i just couldn't contribute to the box office earnings of this movie. It wasn't funny, wasn't well made, wasn't well written, and wasn't entertaining. I left offended and irritated. The main characters cuss around at little kids the entire time. Every other word is Ef this and Ef that...I don't even think there was any real dialogue besides what you see on the previews. I was a fan of "Knocked Up"..and thought this movie might be kinda like it...I was wrong.
